Parker Williamson writes about freedom, beauty, truth and love. A traveler of the world, he has been called a friend to paupers and princes alike. Parker’s passions include theatre, athletics, film, video games and of course writing.

Person sitting on a park bench facing away, wearing a blue shirt with 'FIRE CREW' printed on the back, in a grassy area with shadows cast on the ground.

As a young man Parker fought wildfires, studied power, politics, religion and history. He was fascinated with how often emotion led decision making in the tapestry of the world’s story. How some of the most powerful decisions that echoed through history started from a deeply personal place.

A group of people wearing helmets and backpacks crossing a river in a foggy forest with sunlight streaming through trees.

Parker studied religion. He once wanted to become a priest, but found the abstinence from family required for devotion conflicted with his deep desire for love and connection. That didn’t dull his thirst for knowledge. Williamson studied the religions of Catholicism, The Church of Latter Day Saints, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism and many other religions to satisfy his curiosity and to ask the big questions that make us look to the sky with wonder.

Parker studied pre-law at the University of Idaho. Today, he works as a community organizer in local government, contributing to crafting legislative policy and staying active in the community. Parker Williamson believes in public service as a vehicle for the individual to effect positive change for oneself, their family and their community.

Parker is happily married with a beautiful baby girl. For many years, he thought he would forever live the life of a wanderer. Then he met a wonderful woman who opened his eyes to something so much better, family. For Parker, family was enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best.
